Stories are a great way to quickly catch up on your child’s online activities in Securly Home. Stories will give you only the latest events, and you can view more detail in the Activity feed. 

Note: Activity data is only visible if your school is using Securly Filter with Home.  

To begin using Stories, open the Securly Home app and tap your child’s avatar at the top of the screen.

Swipe right or left to read stories for different categories such as educational sites, videos, games, searches, social networking, etc. You can tap events to view the details of what your child viewed. 

If there are more than five events for the day, you can tap the "view all" link at the bottom of the screen to see the rest of the activities.  
      

You'll also get an Activity Snapshot that shows how your child's activity is divided across different categories.

If your school has enabled AI chat visbility, Stories will include your child's interactions with platforms like Gemini and ChatGPT. You'll see total chat interactions in the Activity Snapshot, inappropriate prompts that were redirected to safer topics (deflected chats), and an overall AI activity comparison in Stories. 

Apart from the above, we also share tips that will help you engage with your child about school, help them stay safe online, and assist them in being responsible digital citizens, among other things.

• How frequently are stories updated?
  Stories are updated every 24 hours at 4 PM. You can set up reminders to get a notification when that happens. Just turn on the notification by going to the "Account" menu, then "Manage Notifications". 
  
• Will I get notifications about new stories?
  Yes, you can get notifications when stories are updated every 24 hours. We send out a reminder at 4 pm every day which can be enabled by navigating to Account > Manage Notifications. 
   
• Why don’t I see any stories for my child?
  The stories are generated for activity within a 24 hour period. If your child has not been online or done any activity within that period, you may not see any stories for your child.
